STF: CHEGA AO FIM FERIADO BANCÁRIO DA QUARTA-FEIRA DE CINZAS

O Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) decretou na última sexta-feira (13) o fim do feriado bancário na Quarta-feira Cinzas. Por meio de sessão virtual, o Plenário decidiu que é inconstitucional a lei do Estado do Rio.

Os ministros acompanharam, por unanimidade, o voto da relatora Rosa Weber, que entendeu ser procedente a Ação Direta de Inconstitucionalidade ajuizada pela Confederação Nacional do Sistema Financeiro (Consif).

A entidade alegou que o feriado bancário na quarta-feira após o Carnaval causa prejuízos concretos às instituições financeiras e viola o princípio da isonomia, uma vez que não se estende aos demais trabalhadores. (Exame)
