A Polícia Militar, através da 2ª Companhia do 3º Batalhão de Polícia Militar (2ª Cia/3º BPM), prendeu no domingo, 07, João Paulo Bezerra dos Santos, 29 anos, suspeito de portar um revólver calibre 38 com quatro munições na cidade de Carira. A ação aconteceu por volta das 17h30, quando uma guarnição composta pelo cabo Tavares, soldado J. Amaral e soldado Agton foi acionada para atender uma ocorrência em um bar localizado no povoado Descoberta, zona rural do município.
Os policiais militares seguiram ao local indicado e conseguiram encontrar a arma de fogo escondida no bar, dentro de uma panela. O suspeito também conduzia uma motocicleta que havia sido roubada no povoado Lagoa, município de Pinhão, no sábado, 06. O veículo Honda CG 150, placa IAG 0833, foi apreendido juntamente com o revólver e o caso encaminhado à Delegacia Regional de Itabaiana.
