Moradores dos povoados Coração de Maria, Pascoal, Pastinho, Triunfo e áreas adjacentes foram visitados por uma desconhecida mulher pedinte alegando que está fazendo um trabalho solidário, por isso, o motivo da solicitação de ajuda financeira. Ela argumenta que seu pedido é meramente para fazer caridade a uma suposta mulher recém – separada e que está passando por necessidades no assentamento 8 de Outubro, e com conversa fiada vai ganhando a confiança dos moradores da zona rural e levando dinheiro. O morador do povoado Coração de Maria, Everaldo, disse que da família dele, a mulher levou R$ 3,00, porém, alega que na sua comunidade, quase todos contribuíram com valores. A pedinte não aceita ajuda em forma de alimentos ou roupas, somente dinheiro. A suposta estelionatária é baixa, branca, cabelo preto e demonstrando ter entre 50 e 55 anos. A suspeita está se aproveitando que neste mês de fevereiro está acontecendo um verdadeiro mutirão para ajudar na construção da igreja do assentamento 8 de outubro e confunde suas vítimas passando informações  mentirosas.
Atenção: A comunidade do assentamento 8 de Outubro informa que a única pessoa que faz parte da verdadeira campanha beneficente é a senhora Maria Helena.
