Uma paciente da clínica americana Hacienda HealthCare, em estado vegetativo há 14 anos, deu à luz um bebê no final do mês de dezembro na unidade de saúde, localizada no estado do Arizona. A polícia local investiga o caso e trabalha com a hipótese de estupro.

De acordo com a Jovem Pan, um parente da mulher disse a um canal de televisão local que nenhum dos profissionais da clínica sabiam que ela estava grávida até o momento em que a bolsa estourou. A enfermeira que fez o parto revelou que o bebê nasceu saudável. “Podemos dizer que a segurança e a saúde dos nossos pacientes é nossa prioridade e que sempre cooperamos de maneira transparente”, declarou a unidade de saúde através de uma nota.
